Hey Bryan,

OK, I’m back in the air. Biennial yesterday, pattern work this morning. A month or so of flying to restore muscle memory and I’ll take the Onex down for AeroInjector and EFI install.

I intend to install the AeroInjector fuel system much as you did.

Question: What mesh inline filter did you use?

Thanks,

Wes

Wes,

I have this one:

We flew today. Sean, if you are reading this, schedule that flight review!

That’s Bigfoot airport where Sean has his Sonex.

Hi Bryan.

Thanks for the reminder. But - Oh no - public shaming! You are persistent! Thanks.

I’m actually out of town on vacation for my daughter’s (final) Spring Break. I suppose my phone could still make the call, but I’m kicking that can into April after we get home.

Sorry, no shame intended! Really eager to see you flying your Sonex again! This will be your year.

I used to skydive there a looooong time ago when Stateline Skydiving was active.

My younger son and I flew to KEFT this evening.

Ran the airplane hard on the way home to beat the clock due to not being night current. 3400 rpm 135 kias.

No oil on the belly. I think the new air-oil separator is doing its job. The new system must have less back pressure. The hangar floor is even clean, it must not be leaking elsewhere.

Have you checked for oil in the engine

Great speed and rpm!

I noticed lately since I’ve been running mine hard that there’s a lot less oil in my separator. Maybe more pressure on the rings and less blow by.

Sounds like your system is working well. Great pics.

I’m afraid to look! I had a short flight yesterday and was short of shocked there was no oil on the floor under the engine. But oil level was good in preflight today. I’m really happy with that separator.
