I upgraded to the wheel bearings with seals for the main gear for my legacy. This drawing (https://www.sonexaircraft.com/files/pdf/plan-sheets/SNX-L07_A_Optional_Hydaulic_Brake_Installation.pdf) makes me think the dust seal washer should be installed but when I do it compresses the seal and causes it to rotate with the wheel which makes me think the outer bearing is spinning on the axle. I’m wondering if the dust seal washer is needed or if a different washer should be installed.
I don’t have the sealed bearings. Those “dust seals” sort of keep some of the grease in, and some of the dirt and grass out. You probably don’t need them.
