Hi Guys,
There are 5 requirements an engine must meet in order to install VeeCU EFI. Requirement #5 is:
Since my engine does not meet that requirement, as noted above, I have to install an AeroInjector. In addition, I don’t want to supply my engine with pre-heated air. So, I’ve been working on an enclosure for the air filter.
I was having trouble getting a good line from the opening in the front of my cowl to the input flange on the airbox. So, I’m going to try something different this time. I’m going to enclose the entire system, AeroInjector and all.
It adds some metal, but I get to lose a couple of heat shields and a couple of hose clamps.
Keeping the AeroInjector cool, inside and out, should also help it be ready for the switch from EFI. I’ll add some screen wire over the input flange to keep critters out.
Grommets on order.
We’ll See,
Wes
