Looking for a taildragger Sonex or Waiex. Interested in something ready to fly. Jabiru, Corvair or Turbo Aerovee prefered

Hi Brandon12 - Welcome!
Now I have a question - Why have you limited your engine choices to "Jabiru, Corvair or Turbo Aerovee " I fly a Rotax 912ULS / Legacy - leaves your choices in the dust, by almost every measure (not for sale) :smiling_face_with_horns:

Good choices for engines except maybe the VW and the Jabiru … :smiling_face_with_horns:

Hi SkippyDiesel, I didnt even know that was an option for the sonex, Ill have to add that to the list.

The new ULPower engines seem like a good bet too if it fits your budget. One thing to consider is the empty weight of whatever you buy. Lighter is better. And if you want to fly aerobatics, you should be observing the aerobatic GW of 950 lbs. That would be one downside to the heavy engine in the bunch - I’d have to go from 200lbs to 160. I’d lose that weight if I could!
