Guys

I am having a difficult time finding the exact bushings called for in the plans.
It seems ACS doesn’t have all the needed references, and I am not able to find them.
Where did the crowd go to source for these bushings?

Carlos

Carlos,

Wicks Aircraft and McMaster-Carr both carry various straight and flanged bronze bushings. You can explore their websites to see if they carry the specific bushings you need.

Carlos;
I acquired these bushings: 2 ea.- Symmco #SF-610-6 (#EF0305-06) sintered bronze flange sleeve bearing, Symmco #ST-1020-2 (TT 602) sintered bronze thrust washer -

near me at: Motion Industries Inc, 229 NW Wilks Lane #7, Lake City, 386/755-4330 - last year for $5.27 w/tax last October. Of course, I picked them up myself. If I remember correctly, they had to be ordered.

Good Luck,
Richard Stauffer

I get my bushings at MRO Supply:Plain Sleeve Bearings - MROSupply.com
You might have to buy $20 worth but that gives you free shipping too.

If I remember correctly I had to get a few bronze bushings from Mcaster Carr since ACS didn’t have them. There were also a couple that I remember having to buy slightly long and then filing down to the correct length, which was tedious but it worked.

By any chance you don’t have a list of bushings needed?

Or anyone else?

Thanks
Carlos

The McMaster part number is 6338K411 like others have posted you will need to shorten the bushing for proper clearance. The plans call for 5 to 15 thousands side clearance I used a lathe but a file would work also.

They also had the bushings for the B control stick that number is 6338K421

If you have never used McMaster Carr you need too they have everything.

Carlos, if you want I can run some off on my lathe and ship them to you. Just let me know.

Ed
Thanks a lot for your offer

I am going to try to figure out, from my list (which can be wrong), which ones I am not able to source, and come back to you if I need.

By the way, are these bushings made from plain bronze rod, or are they a special “oil impregnated” material?

Carlos
