Looks really good.
Yeah, it is looking really nice.
I’m looking forward to seeing the reduced power testing results. I’d love to go with the 130hp UL, but not sure I’ll be able to swing the extra $22k over the aerovee turbo.
This is an application where the higher power Corvair motors may be really good. Both in terms of CG and performance. You will be on your own for the engine mount, unless somebody steps up to make one for the high wing.

Stop reading my mind … ![]()
Sorry Dale! Didn’t mean to steal your thunder! Then again I’m sure my post brings joy to the Corvair evangelist’s heart.

Nah … it’s more like; “great minds think alike!” ![]()
A Corvair turbo would be cool.
Good point about the corvair - I hadn’t given it much thought
I agree. When I was at William Wynne’s supervised build last December, the discussion was about this was short. Both Dan Weseman at SPA and William Wynne (flycorvair.com) have discussed Corvair power with Sonex. Per William, Sonex is unwilling to approve the Corvair engine. Without that, neither William, nor Dan (who makes the motor mounts for the Legacy Sonex) will make a motor mount. Same issue with the B models.
