Spark plug chaser tool

Sometimes my plugs don’t want to go in nicely, especially when you get to the bottom. Probably old anti-seize or something. So I took an old plug and ran a couple slots up either side to clear the threads. I used a Dremel with a cutoff wheel. With the AeroVee you don’t want to force the plugs in.

The tightness at the bottom could be caused by carbon buildup, might be able to check for this with a bore scope or you might see it by just looking down the plug hole

Absolutely what I made years ago, for many plug changes, and I very carefully use it on my aerovee, with at least a small bit of grease to catch junk that gets cleaned out. I would not use much torque at all. . I put more than just one cut mark, maybe 3 or 4. It does work well!
