Source of Jabiru FWF parts now

Not sure where to put this question so will try here for anyone that has input.

I think I have found a complete Sonex B Kit. Everything for airframe without the firewall forward. It would be awhile before I would need these parts.

There is a Jabiru engine mount. Any guesses on finding the cowling and baffle parts for a 3300?

I did find the Jabiru FWF manual on the Sonex website. Has some detail on baffles and other parts.

Thought I heard somewhere that there might be a cowling after market business out there. I probably will ask Arion as well if they know.

You said you need firewall forward, but also that there’s a Jabiru mount. Do you need a mount? I have a Jabiru trigear engine mount I won’t be using (went with Rotax instead).

Hey Dan… I am just thinking sort of into the future if I buy this already started kit.

I will be building (like you are) without “factory” support. The kit does already have a Jabiru mount with the tail wheel config.

Seemed like I had heard of a source out side of Sonex for a Jabiru cowling. That is what I was looking for at this point.

PS - This might be a non issue now if Sonex is back.

OK. That’s what I thought you were saying, but if you were asking about a motor mount I was just letting you know I had one. I’m not sure about the cowling, but now that Sonex seems to be back on track that’s very likely a non-issue. (Woohoo!!)
