Resent talk about “fixed” vs “full swivel” tail wheels made me think of a video I stumbled across recently. The topic has been discussed for a long time. Anyway, here is a thread where we can discuss how we got to where we are 
If you have time to watch, it’s also funny to see how guys used to start VWs by first flooding them (with a slide carb) and then clearing the flood and jumping for the fuel valve.
