Sonex B dual control and roll servo

Does anybody know how to install the roll servo in a Sonex B with dual control ?

Which brand of servo do you have and do you have an installation kit?

Hi Andrew,

These are two MGL servos. They come with 2 aluminium tubes and their end ball joints.

I’m limited to how much I can help since I’m only familiar with the Dynon install. The dual control looks similar to the the legacy one so looking at legacy installs may help. Here’s a link to the Dynon setup: https://dynonavionics.com/includes/guides/Sonex-Waiex_Roll_Kit_Instructions_Rev_A.pdf

Most of the other setups I’ve seen are either similar to this or have the servo mounted in the wing. The things to keep an eye on are clearances throughout a range of motion and making sure the roll servo especially has enough movement so it doesn’t go over center.

Thank you for the link. MGL servos are very similar. So it gives me some ideas !

But the lever length is smaller. So I’ve to pay special attention to avoid over center movement…
