Is it worth putting on a leading edge protection film on a Sensenich composite propeller? If so, what works well?
I have nothing on my Prince composite prop. In theory there is a urethane leading edge treatment but I see no discontinuity.
Years ago we put leading edge tape on the rotor blades of the Cypher UAV at Sikorsky and it would no longer hover. Those were much thinner airfoils but it cemented a bias in my brain and I would not do it. What are you protecting the leading edges from? Bugs, rocks, rain, or something else?
