I’m building a Big bore Zipper engine. The parts are purchased from zipperbigbore.com, Jay and Hal have been great to work with. Im doing the 1622cc kit with the HP cam shaft and a through bolt kit for the case. This should yield 130hp. Plans are to add SDS or Edge fuel injection to complete the package. This project started with a 1000hr mid 2000’s 912UL. Additionally i will add the slipper clutch to the gear box and the HD starter. The engine is down to the case. I have already disassembled, cleaned, inspected the heads and lapped the valves, time to move on the the machining of the case and heads to receive the larger cylinders.

Sweet! This is a direction I’ve considered as well. (Insert old school forum eating popcorn emoji…)

New pictures coming soon. Took a few weeks off. Here is one of me preparing to modifying a c-bore to fit the through holes I machined in the block. Had to remove .007 from the diameter of the pilot.
