Prince prop on a new build

Has anyone installed a Prince prop on a newly built Sonex with a 3300? I know the Sonex recommended Sensenich keeps the 3300 Sonex Light Sport legal. Sonex used to recommend the Prince props also, maybe there would not be an issue with the DAR.

Any information would be appreciated.

You can choose any prop as long as its not adjustable in flight. I had a sterba then put on a prince. The only thing is its considerd a major change and might have to to go into 20 hour flight testing. So I would try and stick with the same prop from the start , just easier

Flight testing for a major change that is done after the completion of the initial flight-test period is typically 5 hours, not 20. However, depending on how your operating limitations are written you may be at the mercy of the FSDO on this. Read carefully!

Thanks for the replies. I am changing to a CAMit 3300 from an Aerovee. I spoke to FSDO today and he said to send a letter stating what I was changing and let them know where I would like to do my phase testing, probably 5hrs. We talked about there not being a Prince on a Sonex CAMit, so there might be additional testing. I have spoken with IA FSDO a couple times in the past and they are good guys to work with.
