Make sure any measurement you make is repeatable.

And if you get the chance…practice on someone else’s airplane.

Believe in yourself. The first step to success is saying “I can”; the first step to failure is saying “I can’t”.

Go slow! We built a stand to level the fuselage. Spirit levels for the wingtips, just a long clear vinyl tube filled with blue windshield washer fluid. Lots of measuring between the wingtips and tail. Then it’s just a matter of drilling 4 holes.

It took 4 hours with four people on an RV-9A to drill two holes.

This must be TWICE as difficult!

(Thanks Bryan for the spirt level tip. Off to Home Depot for clear vinyl tubing!)

Are you attaching wings? I use a surveyor level and made stands. Follow the steps to the letter and you can’t go wrong
