I’m not sure what class the Jabiru and Rotax guys would be in, but if at least 3 show up they will make a class. The reason to do it is fun and fellowship, more than the trophies and adoration of the flying world.

My mentor’s description of AVC: we fly a little, then come back and drink beer, eat food, and tell lies. It’s really just a cross country flight. They have no-penalty fuel stops, where you can also take care of other needs, like if you can’t fly for 4 hours straight.
Somebody caught my departure in this video, at 20:40 or so.
Although he cut out my taxi and used some horrible AI photo for the thumbnail.

it was a great time when I thought a RV7 was in my future… lol.
