Here’s an exhaust seat before.
There are 3 pilots - 7.98, 8.00, and 8.02 mm. They are tapered and you pick the one that fits best.
Then the cutter goes on the pilot. It has nifty carbide blades and there is a set for 30, 45, and 60 degrees. The yellow cutter in the picture has 30 on one side, and hidden in the picture is the 45 degree on the other side.
The little black T handle is basically a 1/2” nut driver, but a really deep one. After cutting a while, most of the seat cleans up, but one part doesn’t yet.
Because these seats are bad, I get impatient and use a deep 1/2” socket in a drill.
They all came out pretty good, but I can’t seem to do the 30 degree top cut because the seat pocket is too deep and the cutters hang up on the aluminum.
