Got a non-local friend that has a Sonex A that he is re-assembling. He was not present for the disassembly and doesn’t know where a part goes. He did not get the plans with the aircraft. Thanks in advance.

I’d ask Sonex. Also I think they will sell you reprints to maintain the airplane in a case like this.
I don’t recognise that as any standard Sonex part. Whatever it is, the edge distance doesn’t look too good on a couple of those holes.
I didn’t recognize it because it’s still in the box. I believe it’s the below part used to attach the brake lever if you’re using drum brakes. Hopefully it was removed for a brake upgrade?
