Two-day, in-person course in Greensboro NC- meets the FAA requirements for you to gain your Light-Sport Repairman Inspection Airplane rating so you can conduct conditional inspections on any Experimental Amateur Built (EAB or ELSA) Airplane you own!
I attended the May session of this course. As a builder it was not required for me in order to do inspections on my Zenith but it was an opportunity to learn.
Our instructor was Matt Speare, President of Lancair Owners and Builders Organization. LOBO did an excellent job of organizing and running the course. Matt is an excellent instructor. I give it 5 stars.
More than a few moons ago I earned my inspection rating from G. Michael Huffman from a class he did in Orangeburg SC at the college there. I’ve always been a bit of a grease monkey/shade tree mechanic from my teen years where I worked for a guy that owned a lawnmower repair and general fix-it shop. These days I seek to be a bit more professional and use the proper tools.
