Loss of a friend

On Tuesday May 26th, we lost a friend/neighbor here at Aero Estates (T25). He used to own a Sonex and was on the old forum as TxSwordGuy (I think).

I saw the entire accident, and his wife was standing next to me - she saw it also. Edited to add - the accident did not involve a Sonex!

Mark was a fantastic guy, a retired firefighter, and a devoted Christian. He will be missed.

Please keep Mark, his wife Jayda, and their family in your prayers. Give your loved ones a big hug - today is a gift and tomorrow is never promised.

Horrible news. I met Mark at the Ranger fly in while he was still based in Gainesville Tx. A great guy. I was hoping to fly down to T25 someday and check in on y’all.

Condolences,

Wes

Oh no! Mark and I knew each other for several years before he retired, and was at KGLE in Gainsville! Please give our prayers to his family from several of us here in N. tx who knew him.

Joe, I absolutely will. Mark was larger than life in many ways.

Hi Robbie,
So sorry to all of you at the airpark.
I saw this yesterday on a couple aviation sites.

Then just saw your post.
Tragic. Condolences to all at T25.

best regards,

His username on the old sonex site was tx_swordguy. I never met him in person but do remember him from the online Sonex community.
