When I was building my Sonex, those who went before me kept me inspired. I know many of you follow Bryan’s adventures - mine are not nearly as exciting.
The mission of my Sonex was fun - those flights that leave you with a grin. Every time. Well, mission accomplished. I recently observed the 10th anniversary of my first flight in the Sonex. And every flight reminds me why I built it and how fun it is to fly!
If you’re building - keep at it! It’s so worth it! If you’re dreaming - DO IT! And if you’re enjoying your Sonex/Waiex/Onex, then you can relate.
I flew today and looked out at the wings thinking about how I built them and how cool it is to fly an airplane I built in my garage.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone and KEEP BUILDING!
I definitely agree with you as i was totally inspired by those videos while i was building. It took me 14 years and i have to say it was definitely worth waiting for. I marvel at my Sonex and remember sitting in the cockpit day dreaming of flying it one day. I remember building every single component on my Sonex N1472X. If you are building, don’t stop! If you are thinking of buying a kit, go for it! Stick with it and soon enough your machine will take to the skys! Life is an adventure so go for it!
Should have read all the posts before my last reply…and I’m on frequency with you daleandee on the “thankful list”, especially top of the line up - our Lord and Savior!
