Hello All,
What is everyone using to label their switches on the instrument panel? Label maker? Pre-printed self adhesive labels? Where to buy?
Thank you!
Steve

I used this company on both my Sonex and my Vans. Will be using again for my Zenith.

Another option is to use water slide decals (model airplane decals). I printed out all the labels in WORD on a sheet and sent it off to someone with a decal printer. I did this on my RV-6 in 1999 and those decals are still good as day one except where there is frequent finger contact.

I think my packet I bought from EAA with all the registration paperwork for the plane included a sheet of black with white lettering labels. I didn’t have many things to label on the panel as most of it was on the digital EFIS screen so I just used those for things like the starter, mags, and lights.

I painted my panel matte black and then made my labels with a label maker and white on clear labels. Then I clear coated over everything with satin clear, and it made all the clear backings pretty much disappear. I’m pretty happy with how that turned out!

I also used an inexpensive label maker (white letters on black tape). I have not yet had any issues with peeling.

I used the sheets of pre-printed labels from Aircraft Spruce.

The lovely thing about using a label maker is when you misspelled something and notice it 6 months later, you can just reprint it.
