Also noticed the pan is a bit stretched from the previous owner’s ((hard)) landing, so I’m hoping with a new pan and your padding recommendations it works out.

There was an old thread talking about seat pan issues, but most of my pictures did not come through. Here it is, recreated. Sounds applicable to what you are doing.

A model seat pan sling shortcomings

Hey all, This was posted in the old Sonexbuilders site in a thread of Rick’s called Aileron Control Interference. That thread is in this section but only one of my pictures came through. So here is a repeat. We had significant seat sling interferences and we worked them hard during construction. One thing I did was to rivet a tube to the sling as shown, to gain some clearance on the stick. It worked well. We also had to cut a tab off the stick assembly, I think that was supposed to be for tr…
