In my introductory post, I described the state of my project and noted that I am adding a centre console to my Sonex B. And somebody asked me for pictures of my console. Here they are. I’m going to route the cables coming down from the instrument panel between the two console uprights. The black tape is there to prevent chafing against the aluminium.
The right side is riveted. The left side is secured with screws to maintain access to the master cylinder.
The console is attached to the seat base, the backrest, and the bottom of the dashboard using hinge sections. It is easily removable, just like the dashboard and all the seat panels.

What is the rectangular cutout for? Trim?
This is very similar to what I had in mind. I like your brake actuator levers and pivots. Well done! I imagine placing the master cylinder in front of the wing spar (near the floor) to keep it out of the way, which would allow me to add a small flip up armrest between the pilots where I can store a paper map and checklists.
I think my goal would be to keep the entire console 3/4 in. wide so it can be secured on either side to the floor stiffener and/or firewall stiffener (between the rudder pedals) without adding any addition width (or as little as possible).

No, the trim is the standard one, at the bottom of the triangle. This is for the flap controller.
