Joined this group a few months ago but thought it was time to introduce myself to the group. I just finished fourth-ish Sonex build. I was an early scratch builder with plans #41 and was around the 18th to fly. Second was another plans build in around 2009. After an RV6 and a couple Tailwinds I repaired and finished a Sonex project that a friend had bought. Several years ago, I got bored and started another from plans. Sold the project to my friend Roger who wanted me to help him finish. It is nearing completion and running engine soon. Just before Airventure last year I bought another Sonex kit project that had wings, tail and tail cone mostly done. I was around September when I finished painting the last one. Six months later it is ready. Waiting for the registration and then inspection and airworthiness certificate. Almost forgot, I am located in Rockford, IL at 1C8 (Cottonwood airport).
Congrats!! Looking good (again).

Hi Ron!
Good to see you here! A serial Sonex builder - love it!
Looks great Ron! Once the grass dries out I’ll have to make the long flight over to see it.
For the non-locals that’s 13.4 NM, and even more in KM.
Congrats!
Looks sharp! I bet you have accumulated a lot of Sonex knowledge!
