I considered posting this under the thread with Air Hawk tires but wanted to give all builder/owners an opportunity to see this.
I have no way of knowing how accurate these claims are but what is being said about Aero Classic tires is a bit concerning so anyone using this brand may want to take a close look during preflight. Sooo .. from the Van’s Airforce site is this thread:
Aero classic tires sidewall cracking | Van’s Air Force
Dunno if this helps,

Aero Classic is a different brand from Air Hawk, right? Or are they the same manufacturer?
The strange truth is that they are both made by Specialty Tires of America (McCREARY). So not sure what may be going on or why the Aero Classics are showing sidewall cracking.
On their website they list them differently:
AIR HAWK® tires are premium grade & priced tires, but provide longer service life. Excellent choice for a wide range of applications. Improved tread compounds and high-strength casings offer added wear resistance and an extra measure of security. AIR HAWK® tires are FAA approved and tested by thousands of pilots, delivering a reliable, cost-effective performance under a wide variety of takeoff and landing conditions.
AERO CLASSIC® tires are designed specially for classic planes including warbirds, DC-3’s, and Beech 18’s, often the only manufacturer producing tires for these aircraft. The product line includes over 50 tires and tubes, from 8" diameter for tailwheels, up to 56" diameter C-130 inner tubes. AERO CLASSIC® tubes are tested to MIL-I-5014F standard.
