That sounds cool! Where does the belt go though? I think the magnet ring has the accessory plate all around it.
A buddy of mine says the Lycoming pump pad spins at 1.3X the speed of the crank. If that’s true, you could direct drive it on an AeroVee. You would lose the stock secondary ignition but could go with an SDS system.
I am running SDS fuel injection and electric ignition. I 3D printed a MonkWorks generator to test fit direct drive, it doesn’t clear the turbo.
There is about a 1/2" clearance between the ring gear and the accessory plate, Hopping to be able to run a thin belt drive . Would be great to find a solution that would work for most / all AeroVee engines
