I want to buy a set of four SNX SPAR CAPS for my ongoing scratch building Legacy Sonex. They are no longer available on the Sonex Web Site.
IF Sonex doesn’t spring back to life, go check out the IO.Groups MONI forum. Join, and go to the files section, dig down, and there are drawings from one of Monnett’s Italian partners of a built up spar. Apparently the extrusions for the Sonex and the Moni are identical, the Moni has different attach fittings on the inboard ends of the spars. My supposition is that shipping the spars from Wisconsin was prohibititive, so they used aluminum plate, sheet, and angles they could source in Europe.

Sounds like a valuable option. I’ll keep a record of it.
I joined, but it’s not been approved yet. That list doesn’t seem to have a lot of activity, and there is a danger it has been abandoned. If somebody has access to those files, I’d grab them now.
