Billy Kirshner is selling his Sonex. It is a tailwheel, but the price is right. He has 120 hours on it, and he is asking $28000. He is not on this forum but was a huge contributor to the old forum. He scratch built, but he laser cut all his parts himself. His build was well documented on the old forum, and looked very well done. I met him in person at an assisted Corvair engine build weekend event. He built a 3.3 L Corvair that has the best of everything including a brand new USA built billet crank. I witnessed the break in of the engine and it started and ran with 0 issues. I know he had the plane test flown by a well known woman test pilot/ferry pilot, with no issues. He’s been flying it, but now is dealing with some health issues and would be using the funds to do another build with his grandson. In my opinion, it is a great deal for a really well built Sonex. Also, auto pilot, hydraulic brakes, and electric flaps. DM me if you want his number.

Billy is currently at Airventure per a post on Flycorvair’s fakebook page (you can scan the site without being a member).
Of course I gotta agree that this appears to be quite a deal on a well engined Sonex. 
Billy’s plane is located at KPTW (Heritage Field Airport) in Pennsylvania.

It needs a Condition Inspection and the registration is going to take some work. The seller (4th owner) is an acquaintance, and I think she can be trusted.
That is a very attractive price. And not too terribly far from home. Could you expound more on what you mean by the registration needing some work?
