Well lets get this topic up and running. Got all my signatures for my QXC last Saturday
so one less hurdle out of the way. Next up is some revision and then the skills test and then I have to decide whether to go Onex or Sonex, the Sonex being already approved in the UK.

thanks! it is a good thing, well it is if you get it signed off OK. In England for a PPL we have to do a solo Qualifying Cross Country flight of 150nm or more with three full stop landings at three different airports/fields and get each leg signed off. We have to do that before the skills test. It took pretty much all day to do after a check flight planning and paperwork etc.

Ah, in the US we have something similar, we just call it the âlong cross countryâ (we have to do a âlongâ one and a âshortâ one).

Sounds just like one of our solo requirements.
âOne solo cross-country flight of at least 150 nmi (280 km) total distance, with full-stop landings at a minimum of three points and with one segment of the flight consisting of a straight-line distance of at least 50 nmi (93 km) between the takeoff and landing locationsâ
edit: sorry Andy I didnt see youâd already posted about our long cross country.
