Oh sweet, this is the style that Chris Heintz suggests in the zenith construction standards.
I like the version with the black handles. It has a gentler relief than the modified Vice Grip pliers suggested by Sonex. I haven’t had a chance to try this version out yet.
At the 7:30 mark, notice his technique for making a flute. A twist clockwise followed by a counter clockwise twist. I have one of the vice grip style fluting pliers. I can get good flutes using that technique.
