Another Rotax Install

Well I’m just about ready to fly my plane again. I’ve converted to a 912. Just waiting on a prop now and some paper work. Looking forward to seeing how it performs.

Hi brett,
Sounds good, you have which model of the 912 installed? does anyone know if a 915is uses the the same mounts as the 912 series?
Did you use the sonex engine mount and bars to mount yours or the ring mount?

I used a 912 uls engine.
The freight to Australia plus our current exchange rate was just to much to cope with for the factory mount so I got help from an aircraft mechanic and we made one. Bed type mount so very similar to the Sonex mount.
I honestly have no idea about the 915, they are well and truely out of my price range so didn’t even entertain the idea.
I have put a lot of the details in my blog if you’re interested. Still more to come as haven’t flown it yet.
